We are looking for you for the Real Estate Office of the City of Stuttgart. The position is open-ended.

The Real Estate Office is currently responsible for the management of approx. 1,600 municipal buildings. The commercial and technical focal points are correspondingly diverse. We are aiming to intensify the performance of technical operator tasks, with a focus on operational safety, in particular compliance with fire protection requirements and the collection of inspection obligations in refugee accommodation.

  • You are responsible for the development and assessment of property-specific inspection and maintenance requirements
  • Awarding contracts and managing specialist companies with regard to recording building technology and maintaining building technology databases
  • Drawing up specifications for the tendering of recurring inspection and maintenance services and for the tendering of comprehensive technical conversions or renovations
  • Procurement and assessment of plans and other technical documents, comparison of building permits, fire safety reports and other safety-related requirements
  • Preparing risk assessments in accordance with relevant regulations, drawing up and developing internal standards
  • Active participation in the further development of a legally compliant and seamless technical building management system

Your profile that suits us

  • A degree in facility management or a degree in engineering (FH/TH/TU) or a bachelor's degree in a technical or comparable university degree or a degree in public administration or a bachelor's degree in public management or a degree in public administration (former Angestelltenlehrgang II) or
  • Completed vocational training, preferably with further training as a master craftsman/-woman in a field relevant to the area of responsibility with equivalent skills and experience or state-certified technician specializing in building systems engineering, heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology, master electrician in energy and building services engineering or other disciplines related to building management with equivalent skills and experience
  • Confident handling of MS Office applications, knowledge of CAFM systems is advantageous
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in German
  • Willingness to perform field work within Stuttgart - preferably with a class B driving license
