Project Manager/Client Representative for Real Estate Portfolio (Junior to Senior Level) (m/f/d)

Are you interested in actively developing real estate—and looking for the right next step? Then join us in shaping the future of a sophisticated real estate portfolio.

At aik, you’ll take on responsibility for exciting construction, modernization, and portfolio development projects—from technical measures and energy efficiency improvements to managing external project partners.

Whether you’re just starting your career, have already gained some project experience, or are an experienced professional looking to independently manage complex client-side tasks: We’re excited to welcome people who think ahead when it comes to real estate, take on responsibility, and are eager to work with us to implement sustainable solutions.

About Us

Since its founding in 1999, aik Immobilien-Investmentgesellschaft mbH has successfully established itself as a real estate investment firm serving professional pension funds, pension plans, and insurance companies. With a clear focus on long-term, active investment and asset management, we are a well-established player in the real estate market as a fund and asset manager with strong equity capital. In addition to Germany, our preferred investment locations include the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, and Italy. For our institutional investors, we currently manage eleven open-ended specialized real estate AIFs with a domestic and international real estate portfolio valued at approximately €4.7 billion. To achieve our jointly set goals, it is important to us to build and maintain lasting and trusting relationships with our clients and business partners. Transparency and open communication are therefore essential to us.

Your Responsibilities:

Depending on your level of experience, you will gradually—or immediately—take on responsibility for the structural development of our real estate portfolio.

You will:

  • support or take on the role of project owner for structural portfolio development, CAPEX, and energy-efficiency measures,
  • assist in managing external service providers, specialist planners, project teams, and other project stakeholders,
  • coordinate construction, modernization, and optimization projects from concept through implementation,
  • advise and support Asset Management on technical issues,
  • participate in feasibility studies or manage them independently,
  • actively incorporate digital tools and modern work methods into project work,
  • identify opportunities for optimization in processes, buildings, and projects,
  • and continue to expand your network in the fields of planning, construction, project management, and energy consulting.

Your Profile:

It’s important to us that you have a passion for the field, enjoy taking on responsibility, and are eager to grow with us. Above all, we value your motivation, your ability to find solutions, and your enthusiasm for collaboration.

You’ll be a great fit for us if you:

  • hold a degree in architecture, civil engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification,
  • have gained initial or several years of experience in project management, client representation, construction management, planning, technical property management, or technical asset management,
  • are interested in structural, energy-related, and sustainability issues in the real estate portfolio,
  • ideally have knowledge of project management as well as HOAI, VOB, AHO, or comparable regulations,
  • enjoy providing structured support for construction projects or managing them independently,
  • are open to using digital tools and have an interest in new technologies, AI-powered applications, or process optimization,
  • communicate clearly, professionally, and in a solution-oriented manner,
  • have very good German language skills; English skills are a plus,
  • work independently, in a structured manner, and with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Don’t meet every requirement 100 percent? No problem. What matters most is that you’re eager to work with us to develop real estate for the future.

Your benefits at aik:

  • An established, well-capitalized company with a long-term outlook,
  • challenging real estate projects with creative freedom,
  • a role that can be tailored to your level of experience,
  • a modern work environment in Düsseldorf,
  • short decision-making processes and interdisciplinary collaboration,
  • the option to work remotely part of the time,
  • an open communication culture and a collegial atmosphere,
  • regular employee events,
  • the opportunity to actively shape digital and sustainable initiatives.

Does this sound like the right challenge for you?

Then we look forward to receiving your application—whether you’re just starting your career in project management or already have extensive experience. Join us in shaping the future of real estate at aik—strategically, sustainably, and with a focus on what’s feasible.
