We are seeking a candidate for the Residential Business Unit, Northern Regional Division, to work in construction management for our federal housing projects in either Hanover or Oldenburg, to start as soon as possible , for the position of:
Technical Project Management for the Renovation/​Modernization of Residentialand neighborhood development (f/m/d)

The Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks is not permitted to establish new civil service positions. The transfer of civil servants appointed for life (of the same rank or the next lower pay grade, but without a change in career track) is possible with the approval of the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF).
What are your main responsibilities?
- Performing all relevant management and leadership functions related to the responsibility for and oversight of projects at the regional level, and supporting local construction management
- Serving as the project owner and overseeing the planning and execution of BImA construction projects
- Initiating and overseeing neighborhood development concepts for existing properties in line with relevant housing sector issues (e.g., demographics, climate protection, sustainability, digitalization, mobility, and energy)
- Preparing technical requirements planning and overseeing the implementation of investment projects in collaboration with external project managers, architects, specialist planners, and consultants (f/m/d)
- Management and coordination of all external and internal project participants as part of interface management
- Conducting regular schedule, quality, and cost reviews (construction controlling)
- Establishing a technical reporting system for construction projects
- Developing annual and medium-term construction and investment programs
- Establishing a warranty management system for construction projects
- Continuous evaluation of opportunities to reduce time and costs
- Implementation of corresponding measures, along with performance and cost monitoring
- Potential assumption of leadership and management of a technical team at the customer center
This position frequently involves business travel, including throughout Germany.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications:
- A completed academic degree in a technical field (university diploma/master’s degree) in architecture, civil engineering, urban planning, or regional planning
Professional Skills:
- Experience in the planning and implementation of large-scale renovation and modernization projects as well as neighborhood development
- Knowledge of project management and project oversight
- Knowledge of planning and building law, including relevant legal regulations (in particular AHO, HOAI, BauGB, LBauO, and VOB)
- General knowledge of the real estate and housing industries is desirable
- Knowledge of standard IT applications (Microsoft Office)
- Knowledge of SAP or a willingness to learn it quickly
Additional requirements:
- Class B driver’s license and a willingness to drive company vehicles independently
- Willingness to travel frequently on business and to participate in training events lasting one or more days throughout Germany
- A thorough and meticulous approach to work, combined with a high degree of reliability
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to think and act in a cost-effective manner
- Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with changing areas of responsibility
- Good and quick comprehension
- High level of initiative and the ability to work creatively and conceptually
- Ability to work independently, thoroughly, and in a goal-oriented manner, even when the workload is high
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
- Customer- and audience-oriented approach, strong and goal-oriented negotiation skills
- Ability to work as part of a team, openness to criticism, and strong interpersonal skills
- Good judgment, combined with the ability to make (difficult) decisions and take responsibility
