Team Assistant at the Central Procurement Office (m/f/d)
The Federal Agency for Real Estate (BImA) is the federal government’s real estate agency, which supports the federal government’s real estate policy objectives and provides the necessary land and buildings for nearly all federal agencies. Accordingly, we have over 7,000 employees throughout Germany and manage a very broad and diverse real estate portfolio, as well as the ecological use and maintenance of federal natural areas. For these varied and responsible tasks, we are looking for innovative minds who think and act sustainably.
In the Procurement Division, we procure all products and services required by BImA—from game cooling chambers and official vehicles to security services and energy. In doing so, we prioritize innovation and sustainability. We actively monitor market developments and advise the various departments throughout the entire bidding process.
That’s why we need you! Join us at BImA!
What you'll be doing with us:
You will support your colleagues in the procurement office in preparing and conducting formal procurement procedures. These tasks include, for example:
- Preparing submitted bid documents (e.g., creating a standardized layout, formatting text and tables, converting documents from Word to PDF, creating PDF forms).
- Checking bid documents for plausibility and entering bid data into prepared evaluation tools.
- Verifying the references provided by bidders.
- Handling general correspondence, e.g., with bidders and government agencies.
In addition, you will perform general office tasks, such as providing information, preparing for meetings, drafting meeting minutes, maintaining and archiving files, scheduling appointments, and creating digital templates and forms.
Advanced basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential for these tasks.
We work remotely and flexibly. However, the position occasionally involves business travel, including throughout Germany. These business trips are generally planned well in advance to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Education: You have completed vocational training in business, real estate management, or administration, or hold a comparable qualification.
- Experience: You already have knowledge of public procurement law and the Federal Budget Code (BHO); if not, we’ll be happy to help you acquire this knowledge quickly.
- Skills: You use Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) confidently and efficiently in your daily work and are continuously developing your digital skills. You are open to using digital tools.
- Personality: You work carefully, independently, and are well-organized. You quickly get up to speed on new tasks and remain composed even when faced with change. Your strong service orientation and clear, confident communication round out your profile.
What you can expect from us:
- A permanent position in a dedicated team with an interesting range of responsibilities.
- Opportunities for personal and professional development through a diverse range of training programs.
- A balance between work, family, and leisure time through flexible work arrangements (location and hours) as well as part-time options.
