We are hiring for a position in our construction management department to start as soon as possible:

Project Manager for Large-Scale Construction Projects at the Nestorstraße Campus

Location: Berlin
Employment: Full-time
(Part-time is generally possible)

Start date: Immediately
Job Posting Number: 12-005-2026
Compensation: E15 TV EntgO-DRV

Scope of Activities

The German Federal Pension Insurance Fund relies on its “Real Estate” department: Here, we plan, construct, and operate all of our buildings—from rehabilitation centers for our insured members to modern office buildings for our 26,000 employees. Approximately 600 experts in departmental coordination, real estate management, portfolio management, construction and facility management, as well as environmental and energy management oversee our diverse portfolio throughout its entire life cycle. In the coming years, we will gradually transition our locations to an environmentally friendly and economically sustainable energy supply—CO2-conscious and future-proof. In short: We create modern rehabilitation centers, work environments, and spaces where the DRV Bund can carry out its core business.

Your Responsibilities

The forward-looking large-scale project—Campus Nestorstraße—consists of a new office building with 1,900 workstations and the modernization of our training center for 850 students, totaling approximately 100,000 square meters of gross floor area. In addition, plans call for the construction of a new energy center to ensure a sustainable energy supply for our locations in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. In a position of special trust, you will assume overall project management of these initiatives as the client’s representative and be ready to break new ground with us. Your responsibilities will focus on:

  • Ensuring the project’s success: As the client’s representative, you will be responsible for the holistic implementation of the construction project within budget and on schedule. You will ensure a common thread and a unified direction across the three subprojects.
  • Technical and disciplinary leadership: You will lead the staff working on the subprojects (engineers and architects), set clear priorities, manage the allocation of resources, and foster synergies between the subprojects.
  • Overseeing modern procurement procedures: Managing the TU/TÜ procurement processes from tender preparation through bid evaluation, including close collaboration with the project teams and our procurement office.
  • Coordination of project interfaces: You coordinate all internal and external stakeholders and facilitate project meetings. Whether dealing with technical requirements or conflicting objectives, you promptly find a mutually agreed-upon solution and communicate it transparently to all parties involved.

Your Profile

You apply your subject matter expertise and extensive project experience in a pragmatic and assertive manner, combining strategic thinking with goal-oriented action. In addition, you have:

  • A successfully completed academic degree: Master’s degree or university diploma in a field relevant to the role, e.g., architecture or civil engineering
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale construction projects: At least 5 years of leadership experience in large-scale construction projects, starting at 50,000 square meters of gross floor area, ideally in the range of hundreds of millions, combined with the coordination of multiple subprojects.
  • TU/TÜ experience: The project will be implemented through a TU/TÜ contract, so we are looking for demonstrable experience with TU/TÜ models.
  • Technical and planning expertise: You are accustomed to managing complex projects, identify deviations from agreed-upon goals in a timely manner, and address these in a targeted and results-oriented manner with project stakeholders.

We offer you

  • A chanceto help shape the district: The campus will not only be the DRV Bund’s next flagship project, but will also define the character of Nestorstraße and, by extension, Berlin-Charlottenburg/Wilmersdorf.
  • Scale, complexity, and sustainability: Three diverse subprojects, a total area of approximately 110,000 square meters, modern training and office spaces, and the creation of a new energy infrastructure for the coming decades
  • A strong team and the support of an entire department: featuring subject matter experts from all areas of the real estate lifecycle
  • Fair working conditions: in accordance with our collective bargaining agreement, including retirement benefits, an annual bonus, a commuter pass, company sports programs, and various collaborations with external partners
