The Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BImA) is the federal government's real estate company, which supports the real estate policy objectives of the federal government and provides the necessary land and buildings for almost all federal authorities. What are your main tasks?
- You will deal with fundamental issues relating to project support and implementation of housing/real estate development and the handling of potential sites for new housing construction.
- You will define the regulations for BImA's internal inspection and approval procedures up to the completion of construction and handover to the managing department.
- You will contribute to the improvement of work processes and the achievement of objectives, for example through the development of general instructions and the creation of work instructions.
- You will use your specialist knowledge to prepare reports, contributions and statements or coordinate their preparation for legal and technical supervision, the Executive Board, the Board of Directors and the press in consultation with your superiors.
- You will respond to and support measures with the real estate developers and housing developers at the main offices (regions), in particular on legal and complex housing issues, and support the regional project managers in fulfilling their tasks.
- As an interface to the controlling and corporate planning department as well as the real estate development projects for portfolio planning, you will develop and determine target figures and key performance indicators.
- You will develop concepts, procedures and business processes to regulate internal workflows and support the project managers in the preparation and implementation of major new construction, conversion and extension projects in the regions, particularly with regard to construction and technical aspects and risk management.
Our work is mobile and flexible. Nevertheless, business trips of more than 20 days per year are required at the post/workplace, including throughout Germany. These business trips are always planned well in advance to ensure a good work-life balance.
What do we expect?
Qualifications:
- You have a university degree (Uni/Master) in civil engineering or architecture.
Professional skills:
- You have in-depth experience in project management.
- You have specialist knowledge and several years of experience in the creation, application and implementation of building law (planning law, building regulations law, service phases according to HOAI).
- You have in-depth knowledge of business and real estate management.
- You also have in-depth knowledge and practical experience with profitability calculations.
- You are proficient in the use of common IT software applications (Microsoft Office, project management software).
- SAP knowledge is desirable.

- You have a high level of initiative and the ability to work creatively and conceptually.
- Strong communication skills are one of your strengths.
- You have a high level of social competence and the ability to work in a team.
