The position is open-ended.

The Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BImA) - an institution under public law - is one of the largest real estate owners in Germany. The spectrum ranges from residential, industrial and commercial properties to military and former military sites, as well as forestry and agricultural land. Since September 1, 2020, BImA has once again assumed full responsibility for the management and development of its approximately 40,000 apartments through its Residential division, which was founded specifically for this purpose. It manages strategically important freehold properties as well as large residential quarters in established urban locations. The division is responsible for providing affordable housing for federal employees close to their place of work, particularly in tight housing markets in economically strong regions and large cities. In addition to the current focus on modernization and maintenance, the Housing division stands for sustainable neighbourhood development and thus also has its sights firmly set on the issues of demographic change, digitalization and climate change. The division is divided into four regional divisions, eight customer centers and 29 service teams.

What are your main tasks?

  • Structural maintenance of the housing stock in cooperation with construction management, janitors, specialist tradespeople and external specialist companies
  • Coordination, organization, monitoring and acceptance of technical maintenance and minor repair measures as well as the elimination of defects
  • Communicating with tenants and independently carrying out the necessary appointments on site
  • Receiving fault reports and repair requests from tenants and in coordination with the construction management team
  • Initiating and coordinating measures to rectify defects, reporting completion to tenants in coordination with construction management
  • Independent processing of orders for minor building maintenance
  • Helping to perform the interface function for communication with tenants, e.g. for information, appointment coordination and relocation management tasks
  • Supporting the implementation of building condition surveys
  • Assisting with the monitoring and documentation of operator and public safety obligations in the housing stock
  • Supporting construction management and assisting in the processing of general matters and organizational tasks such as compiling documents and inventory data or obtaining information from building authorities and planning offices
  • Assisting with the supervision of construction projects
  • Invoice processing in paper form and electronic invoice processing
  • Working professionally using SAP and AiBATROS

What do we expect?

Qualifications:

  • Completed vocational training as a real estate agent (f/m/d) or as a commercial agent (f/m/d) in the real estate and housing industry or comparable qualification

Specialist skills:

  • Strong construction expertise desirable
  • Practical experience in the modernization, maintenance and refurbishment of properties
  • Knowledge of public procurement law, construction contract law, basic business management knowledge
  • Good knowledge of standard IT applications (Microsoft Office)
  • Knowledge of SAP and AiBATROS desirable or willingness to acquire this in the short term
