Trainee (m/f/d) Real Estate, Hospitality & Retail

The Real Estate Hospitality & Shopping division is responsible for the asset management of hotel and retail properties owned by hausInvest, as well as closed-end real estate funds managed by Commerz Real Investment mbH. The focus is on sustainable value appreciation, active management of real estate performance, and close collaboration with internal and external partners.

During your 24-month tenure as a trainee, you’ll gain a thorough understanding of the work of the Hospitality and Shopping teams as well as Commerz Real from the ground up. From day one, you’ll take on independent responsibility and have the opportunity to set your own areas of focus. You’ll be supported by a development program designed to help you grow both professionally and personally, preparing you for your career with us.

Start your trainee program on October 1, 2026, and enjoy a monthly gross stipend of €4,600 or €5,000 (Bachelor’s/Master’s).

• You are a key member of the team and will become familiar with the full range of tasks involved in asset management
• You will maintain contact with our center and property managers as well as with hotel operators and help ensure key processes run smoothly
• You will act as the point of contact for service providers and internal partners and independently coordinate matters related to our data management
• You will oversee the management of lease agreements for national and international retail and hotel markets
• You will actively support leasing processes, assist in contract negotiations for lease, tenancy, management, and franchise agreements, and contribute to the management and optimization of leasing activities
• You will work on exciting projects related to ESG, digitalization, and the optimization of asset management processes
• You will assist in the preparation of decision-making documents, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders
• You will comprehensively analyze the operational performance data of retail properties and hotels
• You will analyze property, market, and performance metrics and derive recommendations for action to increase the value of the properties

• You have a bachelor’s degree in economics or a related field, ideally with a focus on real estate management, and you graduated no more than 18 months ago
• You are interested in retail and hotel real estate and want to learn how to manage them in a way that adds value
• Digitalization and sustainability are familiar concepts to you, and you enjoy working in an international environment
• You are very confident in using various applications, in addition to the standard MS Office products
• You work in a structured manner, are communicative and solution-oriented, and bring a high degree of initiative and reliability to the role
• You possess strong analytical and conceptual skills and apply them with a high degree of attention to detail
• You present yourself with confidence, communicate effectively with different audiences, and enjoy collaborating with various stakeholders
• You have business-level proficiency in German and good written and spoken English skills
