Our Facility Management division builds, operates, and manages a complex portfolio of exciting and diverse properties—ranging from ministries in Berlin and Bonn, to federal courts and research institutions, to the buildings of the Customs Service, the Federal Police, the German Armed Forces, and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW). This position primarily involves federal commercial properties.
What are your main responsibilities?
- Initiating and overseeing property management processes, in particular:
- Compiling documentation for contracts regarding the management of the property/properties and the technical aspects of the property/properties
- Obtaining bids and compiling results (negotiated awarding) or preparing formal tenders and procurements, including preparing the awarding of contracts
- Preparing specifications and service descriptions in coordination with property managers, operations managers, and construction managers
- Recording, entering, verifying, and reporting meter readings for electricity, gas, and water, as well as maintaining energy meters/measurement points in the system or SAP
- Compilation and allocation of costs for in-house service staff; review of timesheets and submission to OP for payroll processing following approval by property management
- Invoice processing using SAP/BALIMA, among other systems
- Billing and allocation of utility costs primarily using SAP (BALIMA) in collaboration with the property manager(s)
What are we looking for?
Qualifications:
- Completed vocational training with a focus on business or real estate, e.g., Office Management Assistant (f/m/d), Real Estate Agent (f/m/d), or comparable qualification
Professional skills:
- Relevant professional experience of several years in the field of facility management is desirable
- Technical knowledge and practical experience in the billing and allocation of utility costs
- User-level proficiency in Word and Excel; SAP knowledge is desirable
- Basic knowledge of business administration and real estate management
