The Berlin Directorate is looking for a member of staff for the Purchasing division in Berlin to start as soon as possible:

Employee in the Procurement Office (f/m/d)

The position is expected to run until August 27, 2027.

The Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BImA) is the federal government's real estate service provider, which supports the real estate policy objectives of the federal government and provides the necessary land and buildings for almost all federal authorities. Accordingly, we are represented throughout Germany with over 7,000 employees and take care of a very broad and diverse real estate portfolio as well as the ecological use and maintenance of natural areas of the federal government. In the Purchasing department, we procure all the products and services that BImA needs, from game coolers and service vehicles to security services and energy. We focus on innovation and sustainability. We actively monitor market developments and advise the specialist departments throughout the entire tendering process.

What are your main tasks?

  • Checking and preparing the incoming tender documents for compliance with procurement law provisions and regulations of the procurement manual, publication on the electronic procurement platform
  • Sending the tender documents to the participants and assisting with the submission/opening of tenders
  • Checking the submitted documents for completeness and formal correctness and carrying out the mathematical check of the bids and price comparison lists
  • General office activities, e.g. providing information, preparing minutes, maintaining and archiving digital files, creating and maintaining lists and forms

What do we expect?

Qualification:

  • Completed vocational training in the commercial or office management sector or comparable qualification

Professional skills:

  • Knowledge and practical experience in public procurement law (national and EU-wide) as well as in supplementary laws and guidelines (e.g. GWB, BGB) desirable
  • Knowledge of procurement-relevant organizational and operational processes desirable
  • Knowledge and professional experience in public procurement and the awarding of public contracts desirable
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the use of the IT applications Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word and Outlook) relevant to the workplace
  • Experience in the IT applications RIB iTWO and AI-Vergabemanager or willingness to acquire this in the short term

Other qualities:

  • Open-minded, empathetic and team-oriented personality with a positive attitude
  • Good comprehension and good organizational skills
  • Thorough, careful and reliable way of working
  • Ability to familiarize yourself well with changing tasks and to act in a structured and goal-oriented manner even with an increased workload.
