The Koblenz Directorate is seeking, for the Facility Management division based in Wiesbaden, effective January 1, 2027
a Plant Mechanic for Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning (f/m/d)
The position is permanent under the collective bargaining agreement for the public sector (TVöD Bund) in pay grade 8. Monthly (gross) salary: €3,486.40 to €4,230.97 (depending on professional experience)
Responsibilities
What are your main responsibilities?
- You monitor, operate, and control the plant equipment
- You regularly participate in on-call duty
- You ensure the smooth operation of utility systems (including wastewater, water, and gas systems, as well as heating systems)
- You are responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues, as well as initiating and implementing emergency measures to repair technical systems
- You receive error, alarm, and fault reports, evaluate them, and initiate appropriate measures to resolve them
- You regularly inspect all components of the operational systems and perform maintenance work
- You supervise external contractors, provide them with instructions, and, if necessary, accept their work
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
Qualifications:
You have successfully completed an apprenticeship as a plant mechanic specializing in plumbing, heating, and air conditioning, or hold a comparable qualification (m/f/d)
Professional skills:
- Knowledge and practical experience in the fields of wastewater, water, and gas systems, as well as heat supply systems
- Certification of competence in the above-mentioned systems or a willingness to acquire it
- Knowledge of measurement and control technology is desirable
- Good working knowledge of standard IT applications (MS Office)Knowledge and practical experience in the fields of wastewater, water, and gas systems as well as heat supply systems

- Completion of a security clearance in accordance with the Federal Security Clearance Act (SÜG), the successful completion of which is a prerequisite for filling the position

- Class B/3 driver’s license, as well as willingness to travel on business and to drive a company vehicle
