The Berlin Directorate is looking for a Facility Management (FM) division in Berlin with immediate effect or as soon as possible:

Operations Engineer (f/m/d)

The position is open-ended.

The Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BImA) is the federal government's real estate service provider, which supports the real estate policy objectives of the federal government and provides the necessary land and buildings for almost all federal authorities. Accordingly, we are represented throughout Germany with over 7,000 employees and take care of a very broad and diverse real estate portfolio as well as the ecological use and maintenance of natural areas of the federal government. Our Facility Management division builds, operates and manages a complex portfolio with exciting and diverse properties - from the ministries in Berlin and Bonn, federal courts and research facilities to the buildings of customs, the Federal Police, the Federal Armed Forces and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW). What are your main responsibilities?

Performing technical operational management tasks in the fields of heating, ventilation, sanitary, air conditioning and refrigeration technology on large properties used by federal institutions, in particular for scientific and research purposes, including

  • Ensuring operator responsibility for the technical operation and operational safety of the systems as well as compliance with applicable regulations, if necessary in coordination with the occupational health and safety officers,
  • Creating and updating operating and operator concepts for ongoing operations and for construction projects,
  • Participation in the implementation of national and Europe-wide tenders, including the preparation of service specifications and service descriptions for the technical area for the implementation of national and Europe-wide tenders, e.g. for TGM service contracts, taking into account the specific user requirements (service level agreements),
  • Conclusion, implementation and termination of maintenance and service contracts for technical facilities in cooperation with property and construction management,
  • Managing the deployment of the company's own property staff, in particular in-house tradespeople,
  • Checking and fulfilling the duty to ensure the safety of technical systems and providing technical support for immediate measures,
  • Commissioning and decommissioning technical systems and equipment,
  • Advising users on all issues relating to technical building management, in particular on potential savings and cost optimization,
  • Performing the client function for all construction measures in the area of responsibility, including warranty management, documentation and reporting

What do we expect?

Qualification:

  • completed technical (technical) university education (Diploma [FH]/Bachelor) in the field of supply engineering (heating, ventilation, air conditioning/refrigeration technology) with at least 3 years of practical professional experience at engineering level or in a comparable course of study or a comparable qualification (e.g. state-certified technician (f/m/d) with corresponding practical professional experience at engineering level)

Professional skills:

  • several years of professional experience in the field of technical building management/technical facility management
  • Knowledge of the relevant regulations and standards (e.g. Industrial Safety Ordinance, GEFMA, AMEV, DIN, RBBau, HOAI, VOB, VOL)
  • IT user knowledge for Word and Excel, Outlook, SAP knowledge and CAFM knowledge are desirable
  • basic knowledge of business and real estate management
  • Experience in personnel management is desirable
