The position is open-ended.
The Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BImA) is the federal government's real estate service provider, which supports the real estate policy objectives of the federal government and provides the necessary land and buildings for almost all federal authorities. The department is responsible for supporting security authorities.
What are your main tasks?
- Operating ventilation and refrigeration systems in compliance with technical standards and legal regulations
- Performing various tasks, including replacing defective assemblies, testing functionality, commissioning and decommissioning systems
- regular metrological inspection of the functions of the installations and systems to be serviced on site
- Diagnosis, fault localization, repair work as well as maintenance and servicing work
- Support and assistance with legally required inspections and tests necessary for operation
- Analyzing and classifying fault reports, localizing the source of the fault, investigating the fault (scope and significance for ongoing service operations), setting priorities for rectification
- Performing cyclical inspection and quality assurance activities
- general office activities
What do we expect?
Qualifications:
- completed 3-year vocational training as a central heating and ventilation engineer or plant mechanic for sanitary, heating and air conditioning technology with a focus on air conditioning and ventilation technology (f/m/d)
Specialist skills:
- very good technical knowledge in the field of ventilation and refrigeration technology as well as a general understanding of related technical areas (e.g. electrical energy supply, I&C/ HVAC, structural engineering)
- several years of practical experience in fault analysis, troubleshooting and maintenance of ventilation and refrigeration systems
- Experience in technical operations management and with CAFM systems is desirable
- Ability and willingness to acquire knowledge in non-skilled TGA trades and to work across disciplines
- sound PC skills in standard operating systems and applications such as Microsoft Office
