What are your main responsibilities?
- Personnel management and control of the sales teams at the Freiburg and Stuttgart locations
- Planning, management, control and continuous optimization of the sales processes of the sales teams on the basis of business and real estate management corporate structures and concepts
- Ensuring and realizing sales targets
- conceptual development of sales strategies, taking into account legal, planning and financial aspects and their implementation
- Managing the implementation of overarching measures for the development of properties with the aim of selling them
- Management of the sales teams, taking into account economic, legal and risk-related aspects in the professional processing and handling of:
- particularly difficult and significant properties for sale, in particular conversion properties with contaminated sites, whose uses are subject to serious change under building planning law
- Properties with special supra-regional state/federal political significance or of particular public interest
- other specialist tasks with a high degree of complexity, significant financial implications or unusually complicated legal issues
- Identification of development potential for the properties in the portfolio, technical management of the sales team in the development of the properties as well as clarification and discussion of building planning and building regulations framework conditions with municipalities with the aim of development, e.g. in the form of urban development contracts
- Providing specialist advisory support to the Facility Management, Portfolio Management and Federal Forestry divisions when purchasing properties
- Management of the processing and responsible handling of difficult acquisition cases of BImA properties encumbered with heritable building rights/enforcement of reversion claims nationwide
- Representing the Federal Institute vis-à-vis planning authorities, investors, municipal decision-makers and interest groups as well as establishing and maintaining these contacts
- Processing political inquiries and press inquiries
What do we expect?
Qualifications:
- completed academic university studies in law with a second state law examination (fully qualified lawyer [m/f/d]), at least one of the state examinations completed with the grade “satisfactory”
Professional competence:
- comprehensive specialist knowledge and several years of current practical experience in the field of real estate development and exploitation
- Experience in personnel management desirable
- strong specialist knowledge and current experience in the development and sale of particularly complex conversion and/or large properties as well as in the area of contaminated sites/explosive ordnance problems
- in-depth business management knowledge, comprehensive expertise in the field of real estate law, sound knowledge of the real estate market
- Specialist knowledge and practical experience in the sale or management of properties encumbered with heritable building rights is desirable
- Knowledge of standard IT applications (Microsoft Office)
- Knowledge of SAP ERP 6.0 is desirable or willingness to acquire knowledge of the SAP-supported specialist process BALIMA in the short term

- Car driver’s license (class B) and willingness to travel regularly, mainly on a planned basis and sometimes for full days or several days, and to attend training events throughout Germany (also as a self-driver)
