Scope of Activities
The German Federal Pension Insurance Fund relies on its “Real Estate” department: Here, we plan, construct, and operate all of our buildings—from rehabilitation centers for our insured members to modern office buildings for our 26,000 employees. Approximately 600 experts in departmental coordination, real estate management, portfolio management, construction and facility management, as well as environmental and energy management oversee our diverse portfolio throughout its entire life cycle. In the coming years, we will gradually transition our locations to an environmentally friendly and economically sustainable energy supply—CO2-conscious and future-proof. In short: We create modern rehabilitation centers, work environments, and spaces where the DRV Bund can carry out its core business.
Your Responsibilities
In a position of special trust, you will take charge of the electrical engineering division of our facilities management team, which consists of approximately 80 employees. With your technical expertise and organizational skills, you will ensure the safe, cost-effective, and forward-looking operation of the electrical systems in our properties. In doing so, you will make a significant contribution to the safe and reliable technical infrastructure of the DRV Bund. Your responsibilities will include, in particular:
- Providing technical and disciplinary leadership to your current team of 12 operations engineers who serve as team leaders
- Ensuring trouble-free operation, as well as the maintenance and further development of electrical systems
- Developing, implementing, and continuously optimizing operational concepts, technical standards, and guidelines for existing and future systems
- Initiating, supporting, and implementing change processes within your area of responsibility (e.g., standardization, efficiency improvements, digitalization)
- Working closely with the HVAC division management in building operations as well as other technical departments to ensure holistic management of technical processes and projects
This position involves occasional business travel that can be easily planned.
Your Profile
In addition to working independently and in a structured manner, you demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to communicate effectively with others on an equal footing. You know how to motivate your team members, actively shape change processes, and confidently manage technical and organizational requirements. In addition, you possess the following:
- A completed university degree (academic degree: Master’s or university diploma) in electrical engineering or a comparable field
or
a completed university degree (academic degree: Bachelor’s or Diplom from a university of applied sciences) in electrical engineering or a comparable field, combined with proven experience in the specified area of responsibility that corresponds to the skills and experience expected of a completed academic degree - Many years of professional experience in technical building operations and the maintenance of electrical systems
- Several years of experience in the technical and disciplinary management of employees
