The Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BImA) is the federal government's real estate company, which supports the real estate policy goals of the federal government and provides the necessary land and buildings for almost all federal authorities. Accordingly, we are represented throughout Germany with over 7,000 employees and take care of a very broad and diverse real estate portfolio as well as the ecological use and maintenance of natural areas of the federal government. Our Facility Management division builds, operates and manages a complex portfolio with exciting and diverse properties - from the ministries in Berlin and Bonn, federal courts and research facilities to the buildings of customs, the Federal Police, the Federal Armed Forces and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW). In dialog with our customers, we are shaping the path to climate-neutral real estate management.

What are your main tasks?

  • Assume leadership and responsibility: You will take on technical and personnel management and control tasks. You will motivate your teams to develop concepts, find innovative solutions and take on responsibility, agree work targets, coordinate tasks and coordinate staff deployment.
  • Support the head office management with your expertise: As the interface to the Facility Management Head Office and the other divisions of the Federal Real Estate Agency, communication is your strength and efficient knowledge management is your particular concern.
  • Live negotiation and cooperation: You conduct negotiations in cases of overriding importance with our customers, contracting parties and other third parties and are a reliable contact person for the management level of the official users.
  • Shaping the future together in a sustainable and responsible manner: Together with your property management teams, you will be responsible for managing the properties used by the German Armed Forces and the commercial properties of the Potsdam Directorate. You will ensure the operation, maintenance and repair of all buildings on these properties and observe the climate policy goals of the federal government. You will coordinate with your users and the building authorities or other third parties.

What do we expect?

  • You have a university degree (Master's/University Diploma), preferably in economics, business administration, real estate management, facility management, civil engineering, architecture or law or a comparable qualification.
  • You have strong specialist knowledge and experience in the field of property management or facility management.
  • You are motivated to take on management tasks and have already gained management experience in a leading or responsible position.
  • You are characterized by an independent and service-oriented way of working and a high sense of responsibility. You also have excellent planning and organizational skills, an impressive ability to think and act economically and a high level of social competence and personnel management skills.
  • Your motivation to lead property management on a sustainable and forward-looking course rounds off your profile.
  • You look forward to intensive and fruitful cooperation with our service users.
