The Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BImA) is the federal government's real estate company, which supports the real estate policy objectives of the federal government and provides the necessary land and buildings for almost all federal authorities. There are many varied tasks in our Portfolio Management division: Strategic planning, driving forward renewable energies, new residential construction, expert opinions and services as well as contamination management. What are your main tasks?
- You will prepare valuations, rough estimates of value and expected proceeds.
- You will confidently apply valuation and building law expert assessments in valuation cases, including legal issues.
- You will draw up guidelines for standardizing the interpretation and implementation of valuation regulations, valuation-relevant case law and specialist literature.
- You will use your specialist knowledge to contribute to the design of valuation strategies for accounting purposes.
- You will also contribute to the conceptual design of nationwide tendering procedures, for example for the preparation of award-relevant and specialist documents such as specifications.
- You will also pass on your expertise to our internal training department (exchange of experience between construction experts).
Our work is mobile and flexible. Nevertheless, business trips of more than 20 days per year, including trips throughout Germany, are required for the post/workplace. These business trips are always planned well in advance to ensure a good work-life balance.
What do we expect?
Qualifications:
- You have a completed technical university degree (Bachelor/Diploma [FH]) in surveying, civil engineering, architecture or a comparable technical course of study with a focus on property valuation and at least three years of relevant professional experience.
Professional skills:
- You have in-depth knowledge of property and building law (in particular the German Building Code (BauGB) including the relevant ordinances [e.g. ImmoWertV, BauNVO]) and the valuation guidelines.
- You have several years of experience and proven practical knowledge in the valuation of real estate.
- You have good IT skills (Microsoft Office).
- You can also demonstrate knowledge of specialist applications (e.g. valuation software, geoinformation systems).
Further:
- You have strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to think and act economically.
- You have a high level of initiative and the ability to work conceptually.
- Strong communication skills are one of your strengths.
- You have a high level of social competence and the ability to work in a team.
- You are open to criticism and have the ability to resolve conflicts.
- Your strengths include sound judgment combined with the ability to make quick, goal-oriented decisions and take responsibility, even in complex situations.
