At the Helmholtz Institute Münster - Ion Conductors for Energy Storage (IMD-4/HI-MS), we develop innovative electrolytes for future battery technologies - a field of research with great relevance for energy, mobility and sustainability. Our new, state-of-the-art research building is currently under construction in Münster and is due to be commissioned shortly. For this location, we are looking for a committed individual to design, take responsibility for and further develop the technical and organizational operation of the building. You will work in a high-tech environment, support scientific operations and ensure a reliable research infrastructure.

Building Manager - Research Infrastructure (f/m/d)
Your tasks:
This position offers you the opportunity to independently supervise a modern new research building, actively help shape processes and ensure the smooth operation of a sophisticated technical infrastructure.
Core responsibility
- Ensuring economical and fail-safe building operation
- Planning, coordination and monitoring of inspections, maintenance and servicing
- Supervision of technical building equipment and support in the event of faults and emergencies
Coordination & cooperation
- Management of external service providers, including service descriptions, contract awards and invoice verification
- Provision of measured values, documents and information for internal and external bodies
- Close cooperation with the relevant interfaces at IMD-4 and Jülich
Design & further development
- Identification and implementation of optimization potential in building operation
- Preparation of profitability analyses and decision papers
- Advising scientific users on conversions or changes in building operation
- Support for events and provision of media technology
Your profile:
For this responsible role, we are looking for someone who combines technical know-how with a reliable, solution-oriented working style. You enjoy working independently, communicate clearly with various stakeholders and take responsibility for the smooth operation of the building.
What you bring with you
- Completed studies (Bachelor's or Master's) in facility management, building, utility or electrical engineering or a comparable field of study
- Professional experience in property or building management, ideally in complex building structures
- Knowledge of operational management, testing and maintenance of technical systems
- Enjoy working responsibly in a scientific environment
We would also like to see
- Experience in managing external service providers
- Knowledge of the relevant regulations (BetrSichV, TRBS, DGUV)
- Confidence in the creation of service and requirement profiles
