LAWYER REAL ESTATE LEGAL (M/F/D) - ASSET MANAGEMENT

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed legal studies (at least 1st state examination); the 2nd state examination is desirable, but not mandatory
• Good to very good knowledge of commercial tenancy law
• Knowledge of real estate law and public and/or private construction law is an advantage
• Strong commercial understanding, pragmatic advisory approach and negotiating skills
• Structured, independent way of working as well as the ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
• Very good written and spoken German
• Knowledge of English is an advantage

YOUR TASKS

General legal advice and commercial tenancies

• Advising employees in the Asset Management, Maintenance and Technology, Accounting and Transaction Management departments on all legal issues relating to real estate and commercial tenancy law in connection with the acquisition, management, letting and sale of the real estate and property portfolio
• Legal support and advice on commercial tenancies, in particular drafting, reviewing and negotiating rental, supplementary and other usage agreements
• Assistance with letting processes and support with tenant changes, contractual disruptions and the out-of-court enforcement of or defense against claims

Insolvencies and real estate-related contracts

• Support for tenant insolvency proceedings, in particular filing and reviewing claims, coordinating with insolvency administrators and deriving recommendations for the specialist departments
• Drafting, reviewing and legal support for real estate-related service agreements, in particular property management, facility management, maintenance and repair agreements

Related areas of law, construction law and transactions

• Legal assessment of real estate-related issues in related areas of law, such as land law (e.g. easements), neighboring rights, public law issues and interfaces with construction law
• Support in the prosecution and out-of-court enforcement of construction law and work contract claims, in particular warranty claims
• Legal support for transactions and measures in existing buildings, including due diligence reviews, documentation, risk assessments and implementation of legal requirements

External consultants, standards and knowledge transfer

• Management and coordination of external legal advisors, including mandating, quality and cost control as well as selection and commissioning
• Further development and maintenance of practical standards, templates and checklists as well as knowledge management for internal teams
• Conception, organization and implementation of legal training for employees in the technical, asset management and property management departments
